Lorena Napolitano is Head of Product Research and Development at VitriVax. She has over 10 years of research experience in drug delivery and formulation development for vaccines, proteins, and small molecules. In her graduate work she explored the use of vaccine adjuvants as delivery vehicles in antigen-specific immunotherapies as well as their interaction with lipid membranes. In her postdoctoral work Lorena gained valuable experience formulating vaccines in liquid and lyophilized formats and analyzing their stability. Lorena joined VitriVax in 2022 and has helped establish formulation and analytical capabilities and works cross-functionally to build out the ALTA^TM platform. Lorena holds a BS in Chemical and Biological Engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder and an MS and PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of Kansas.
